Car history: |
1) 1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Convertible For Sale in Tampa, FL 33615. 1969 Corvette convertible offered by the 2nd owner. Purchased in 1980, in Alberta, CA and drove it to Houston, TX when moved there in 1999. 427/390hp, Muncie M20 4 speed with 119,500 original miles. Paint is deep aqua blue. Features include: Upgraded casette stereo with input for Phone (do have stock AM/FM radio), dealer installed luggage rack. Car was repainted in 2000 and profesionally re-done leather seats. Also new black cloth convertible top. Needs the seats re-done again as leather was very thin and soft and could use new carpet. Have original Owner's manual and several spare parts. Upgraded performance electronic ignition ,and 2 1/2 inch pipes to the back (produce an extra 10hp+). All new factory components have been replaced: New factory carb, brakes/calipers suspension (shocks, springs, leaf springs), u-joints. Transmission is stock and has alway worked perfectly. Needs some TLC/tune-up but willing to let it go at a fraction of the price of perfect. My loss, someone else's gain. Trades welcomed ONLY IF: a Harley Heritage or Fat Boy with windshield and leather bags + CASH. Not much to be done would like a motorbike now. I just put some more engine and interior pics up.. and finally took those ugly seat covers off ;). I just found out all about the motor. The number on the engine block on the tab under the passenger valve cover (right behind the fuel-filter) is: CE464309. CE means Counter Exchange. Apparently, there was some manufacturer problem out of the gate, and Chevrolet replaced it. It has no rust. Yes, I have the original steering wheel but, replaced it because it was huge lol. Have the original horn cover (just doesn't fit that steering wheel). Sold for $15,899 on July 2, 2017. |
